I am a proud long-term vegan raising life vegan kids and I wanted to celebrate vegans and veganism with this t shirt design, and I also am a fan of tattoos..in fact if you like tattoos as much as I do there are a couple of tattoo-style cards I designed which you should check out. My original design is screen printed by hand in vegan-friendly inks onto a grey Fruit of the Loom t shirt, and then individually hand coloured.
I put in some 'old skool' tattoo components such as the heart, the banner and the swallows, and added in a borage flower, signifying courage, held by the swallows, because although it certainly is pretty easy to be a vegan these days, it certainly wasn't when I became vegan and even now vegan are still very much a minority of society and we still need the courage of our convictions. I like designing 'vegan t shirts' but always prefer using positive, engaging messaging to, I hope, start conversations, rather than fist fights..!
I have always loved, rescued and campaigned for animals and I am donating 10% of my online profits to UK wildlife rescue.
