I found a stunningly beautiful plant growing in the sun on a shingle beach in Sussex and when I Googled it I discovered it was called a Yellow-Horned Poppy, which grows almost exclusively on shingle beaches
It is a species which has declined in numbers due to loss of shingle beach habitat. However, locally it can be quite common growing in clusters of plants. The yellow horned-poppy is protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. This means it is a protected species and so must not be picked from the wild but you can buy a print of it!
Original linoprint, painted with acrylic paints. (22 x 17.5 cm)
Each piece is unique since each print from a linoblock is different, and each print is then hand-painted. So your print will look similar to but won't be identical with the one in the photo. Please allow time for items to be printed, painted, packed and posted - most pieces are created to order as I don't keep a lot of stock..
Your print will be sent with cardboard backing board to protect it and help fit it snugly into whatever frame it goes into and may be dispatched in recycled packaging as we do our best to re-use packing materials where we can.
